Everywhere you turn, you see a growing fascination with the supernatural world. As Native American people, we understand the unseen world. You don't find many Native American and First Nations atheists. For many of us, we've come face to face with the unexplainable, seen that which is unseen, and have been introduced to a world that is unbelievable. God's Word has a lot to say about the spirit world.

  • Explaining the Unexplainable: God is a spirit. The source of all evil is a fallen spirit named the devil (Satan). His dwelling place is the earth, and He wants you to forget God's powerful Word. He has an army of fallen angels called demons, devils, and evil spirits. There are only two kingdoms: The Kingdom of Light & The Kingdom of Darkness. How we view the world affects how we view spiritual issues. There are three kinds of world views: Western, Eastern, and Biblical.
  • Explaining a Story of Torment From the Bible: A man was filled with a legion of evil spirits; He was naked and running full speed down a steep cliff towards Jesus; He was badly bruised and cut up from self-inflicted wounds; He was isolated from his community and family; He had no friends. His story illustrates the real reason Satan and his evil spirits attack...to torment and destroy the divine likeness in which we are created. Jesus' response helps us understand why He came to earth. The end result of Jesus driving out the demons was his return to sanity and freedom!
  • Explaining the Victory: There were two deliverances that day from the victory over the evil spirits. The first deliverance was from the legion, and the second and greatest deliverance was from his own free will. Not only did he go to his family, but he spread word throughout the whole region about what Jesus had done. He became the first OEW team member from the tribe of Gadara!

God calls us to tell our people the great things Jesus did for us and how He had mercy on us! That’s being one of Heaven’s Heroes!
