Warrior Leadership Summit

Warrior Leadership Summit is right around the corner. The countdown is now at 58 days! That number could look stressing to us in the office, or even the leaders all over North America trying to raise money. For me personally, excitement outweighs the stress for WLS 2010. This will be my 11th year attending WLS, and not one of the years do I regret. It has become a life-changing "vacation" for me and for many Native youth across North America. The excitement definitely outweighs the stress.

Whether you are carpooling, busin' it, flying or hitchhiking, the memories start the moment you begin the trip. Even if you are on an old school bus that breaks down and leaves you in the heat and a few days late to WLS, the memories long outweigh the stress at the moment (right Shiprock?).

So, if the number 58 makes you a little sick at your stomach, remember the impact, change, fun, and memories that you will remember years down the road with your group. Excitement outweighs the stress. See you in 58 days at Warrior Leadership Summit 2010 at Lake of the Ozarks!
